Vornado products help consumers reduce energy consumption, and our company is dedicated to sustainable practices in our operations as well.

Our production, shipping and administrative processes ensure that we reuse and/or recycle as many items as possible to limit our environmental footprint. In our Andover, KS assembly facility, pallets, boxes and plastic bags are used repeatedly during our assembly process. Once assembly is complete, boxes are folded down and returned to the supplier for reuse along with any plastic bags or other packaging materials. Any pallets or boxes that are damaged during the process are recycled.

As products are built, rejected metal and plastic materials are recycled. Power cords are removed from defective finished goods and the copper from inside the cords is recycled. This includes units that are returned from consumers for warranty repair. We do not use Styrofoam peanuts in our shipping process. We do receive them in our facility as packaging material from consumer returns. We collect the peanuts and donate them to UPS for reuse during the holidays.

Vornado products carry industry-leading warranties - namely, a 5 year repair or replacement guarantee on all Whole Room Circulators, Whole Room Heaters, Humidifiers, and Air Purifiers. By building products that last, we are reducing the number of products we send to landfills. We employ a skilled service team that will repair a faulty product whenever possible, further reducing waste.

Vornado employees have many opportunities to recycle throughout the day. We have containers in the break rooms to gather aluminum cans for recycling. Our paper shred is recycled. We also collect batteries, printer cartridges, cardboard and phone books for recycling.
