My husband and I have multiple Vornado circulators (what they call their unique air moving design fans), and have always felt their products were superior enough to other fans that the costs were merited. When I saw the "zippi" I definitely decided it was a "personal" fan, and no more, and people who are dissatisfied with them weren't paying attention to the manufacturer's description of these fans. Last spring I purchased one as a desk fan and one for a friend that was planning a tent-camping trip cross-country (with only a motorcycle and small trailer to carry his gear).
He and I were both totally pleased with the zippis -- they do exactly what the manufacturer says they will! In very hot weather the zippi proved to be a real lifesaver in a small tent that did not have large windows! After I saw the zippi in person I kicked myself for not buying more than one for myself. This week I ordered 4 more and plan to keep at least 2 of them for my use . . . and maybe, maybe give the other 2 as gifts. I made a "stuff bag" for mine from a section of blue jean leg--with a pull string and carrying strap. I perspire very easily, and take it with me to physical therapy and other appointments where I cannot control the "atmosphere".

I have been a long-time customer of Vornado, so I decided to try the Zippi for my office at work. It has such a modern design and moves a lot of air. Keep coming up with new inventive products!
