Vornado filters are specially designed for our units.  The filter must have the correct height, width, and thickness for maximum performance.  Competitors often advertise their wicks will fit Vornado humidifiers but as shown below these wicks don't always fit properly, therefore, the unit will not work effectively.

Vornado wicks are developed from the highest quality materials that work to absorb the maximum amount of water while filtering the circulating air.  Competitor brands are made of different materials not designed for Vornado humidifiers. 
 

This competitor's filter is actually made of metal which has low absorbent properties.  This results in poor performance and could damage the unit.

Replacing filters at the recommended intervals and using genuine Vornado filters will greatly improve the performance of your Vornado humidifier.  Don't be deceived by competitors who claim their filters will work with Vornado humidifiers.  Only Vornado filters will provide the superior performance promised in our units.  Other brands are not designed for our units and in most cases will not last as long which ends up costing you more money.
