How often do I change my Vornado Humidifier Filter?

The humidifier filter (also referred to as a wick, as they wick up water to evaporate) actually traps particles from the water and air.  So waterborne contaminants like bacteria are also trapped…making your humidifier self-cleaning.  After a period of time (60 to 90 days on average), the humidifier filter  becomes encrusted with these minerals and particulates, becoming hard and discolored.  This is when you should simply discard and replace with a fresh new filter as it can no longer absorb water.

Make sure you have a supply of Vornado Humidifier Filters on hand for the dry months ahead.
